Ian is the National President for the Australian
College of Ambulace Professionals, and General Manager of
Clinical & Non Emergency Operations for Metropolitan
Ambulance Service (MAS) in Victoria, Australia, where he
has held this position since 1995. He is responsible for
managing all Clinical Audit for the organisation and the
setting of standards in Clinical practice through the Medical
Standards Committee. He has 25 years experience as a paramedic
and extensive ambulance management experience.
Ian has represented MAS on the Ministerial
Taskforce on Education and Training and the Ministerial
Taskforce Working Party on Trauma and Emergency Care. He
has a wide range of professional affiliations and Committee
roles including the Australasian Trauma Society, State Trauma
Committee, Convention of Ambulance Authorities Clinical
Committee and the Australian Resuscitation Council Victoria
committee.
Ian has presented papers at national and international conferences.
He is involved as a Researcher with a number of trials looking
at aspects of prehospital care, and is currently a PhD supervisor
at the University of Melbourne.
